Reevaluating and assessing new ideas
Genre; Drama.
We have decided that our film is called 'Mind' (subject to change)
Our movie will be produced by 'Film 38' and will distributed by 'Sony Pictures'
I would like the film to be based on subjectivity , subjectivity is when the camera enters the mind of the character and shows want they are experiencing in their mind. I hope to create a halucination of character robbing somebody, to further this I believe we could have to characters stuck within the same hallucination at once. This idea can work well as it improves on the current idea and gives more ideas of shots we can use and produce to improve the work further.
Influences - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (camera shots and techniques to improve a hallucination when being filmed) .
What knowledge I gained from the influence -
Audio - Speech can be said in past and present tense to distorting the viewers sense of time. Distorted background music seemed as if it was playing in the head of the character. Noises getting louder or less distant.
Camera angles - close up frames (when going in and out of the hallucinations)
Wide shots (to show change in perception )
Titlted angles (as they give a sense of unease to the viewer)
Shot choice will reinforce the characters emotional state
Type of lens - Wide lens (the viewer can see more of a perspective) if the lens becomes really wide in can really distort the viewers ideas and perception causing a fish eye effect show the state of the character.
