This whole experience has been great, a wonderful rollercoaster ride. I've been able to develop a lot of skills such as using after effects but also hidden skills such as teamwork. Overall I think my blog has been pretty well structured, i've completed every blog successfully and added extra. I hope I have done enough to get a good grade.

Delusion Behind The Scenes- Pictures

How the change of idea went.

I believe the sudden change of plan was a huge success. It allowed us the freedom to use a variety of shots and impose a tense effect on the audience. On the other hand with the other idea we had to stick with specific shots in order to make the opening make sense. Furthermore we was able to execute our idea within the short period of time and do it I believe, successfully. It is no secret that there were doubts before we changed our idea however this risk deemed to pay off. This because we was able to use the rule of thirds and create a tense atmosphere which is what we wished to do. The whole time we were taking into consideration our target audience and with the previous idea we didn't think it suited our aim, however the change of plan allowed us to execute what was ideal for the target audience.

The rule of thirds is applied by aligning a subject with the guide line and their intersection point, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section.

We used this rule in our opening quite a few times. one of the most interesting times we used it was during the point in which there was a birds eye view in between two walls to show the entire scene and give the audience a feel of the setting.

1) Make the pitch sound more reliable by possibly adding more statistics.

2) Add more images to make it look more attractive and contribute to making our concept clear and precise

I was responsible for film distribution in the pitch. I was told to add statistics to back my argument of reliable of film distribution, here are some of my improvements:

one of the scenes we included in our film opening was influenced by a scene we had all seen in the film wolf of wall street. This seen included the idea that Chris would stumble down the stairs making it look like he's not in control of his body.



We had previously worked around this movie, we got an idea from this movie that there should be a point of confrontation between the two characters. This point is the point in which we hoped the audience would be able to identify the antagonist and the protagonist. However the use of dialogue was very limited in this scene, we done this for effect. This effect was the effect which would create suspense.

Hi guys Congratulations on getting your rough cut finished but it’s not posted to your blog yet. Can you please embed it from the Youtube channel? Thanks. I’m going to hold off on giving specific feedback though until you’ve all written your own individual assessments as per your HW. If you do wish to reshoot though, come and see me and I’ll give you some advice. Don’t be too discouraged though. You learn through producing work that’s unsatisfying. Re. your blogs. I am very disappointed that there’s only one piece up documenting the practical. You need a lot more entries and all of you need to be making posts. You need at least 10 entries (if not more). You need to document the process of filming, update production schedule, what you are learning about editing and how the whole process of shooting, being dissatisfied with your footage and having to adjust and replan. As I discussed with Yusuf, if you don’t post evidence of what you do on filming sessions (both planning and documenting filming via blogging and posting), I don’t know what you’ve done. You may have filmed loads of incredible work but I will have no idea of who has done what until you document it. You must understand that this is NOT just about the film. The blog is documenting your work process and abilities to get organised and it’s this that you are being assessed on NOT just the film on it’s own. Please get some entries up by the first lesson the next lesson otherwise I’ll have to put you back on CFC (First Warning, this time). The blogging will make a significant difference to your grade can make the difference between a C and D. Chris is grading higher than the rest of you as there’s clear evidence he did more on the blog. I dread to think how much there would have been if he hadn’t stepped up here. Hi guys You have some excellent documentation of your pitch. Well done. I particularly liked the post on learning to use technology (17/11) – this is exactly what I want you to be doing, thinking critically about what you are learning. Your posts on audience research and audience profiling are also really good. I would like you to put your blogs in order (I’ll show you how to do this this afternoon) and edit then so that each post is clearly marked numbered and marked RESEARCH (pre-pitch stuff), PLANNING (Pitch), PRODUCTION. You can then put these in the right order, compare this to the blogging checklist and so you can then see what you are missing. The PRODUCTION blogs are blogs about your filming, documenting what you are doing currently. Only one production blog up so far by Shakur – it’s good, you consider problems well, but could have some images as well. Grab some photos as you film, write about what you achieved and how any plans have changed post shoot. Post photos of costumes, props etc. Write individual blogs about what you’ve learned from the process of filming. You can produce these blogs as videos as well. Blogging is an essential part of the course so I’d like to see ALL members of the group making a contribution here (this means you, Yusuf and Alan). Cheers Dan

HI Alan You have some good posts on your blog but are still at only 16 when we should be touching 20 or more by now. Your last post on the evaluation of practical remake activity is very good but some earlier posts i.e. your analysis of your favourite film could do with more work – the writing could be extended. There is still some work that I can’t see: Camtasia on Sound(16) as well as the Audience research work from class on Tuesday (12) and your posts on genre you’d like to work on. Please get all this posted as soon as possible. Please note that a blog is a multi media production so should include video, images, gifs etc. Try to use a wide range of these in your posts. Also, could you edit all of the blogs so they have the task numbers in the title. You need to add RESEARCH as well. In addition, you’ve not yet posted your initial brainstorming of creative ideas that we did on the last Friday of term. This should be marked PLANNING as this is what we are doing from now on. When this is done, you should go through a checklist and mark off all the blogs that you’ve done. You should get *everything* on the list completed for a top grade. So – you’ve done some good work but need to push yourself a bit to get completely up to date. Remember, you can and should be using workshop to get fully on top. Dan
